I agree, one of the main advantages to using a stand-alone is all the built-in fail-safes. Haltech's sensor prices are absurd - it'd be nice to have a list of compatible equivalent generic sensors that require no additional tuning/configuring. IE: I've heard the GM flex fuel sensor (which is significantly cheaper than Haltech's) can be used as a direct replacement.
